S4 Inkjet Printer: Three Things That Make It Different

Not all CIJ printers are the same, but most of them feel the same — small screen, confusing menus, and a manual you need to keep nearby. The S4 takes a different approach. Here's what sets it apart.

A screen you can actually use. Instead of a tiny LCD with three-line menus, the S4 has a 10-inch color touchscreen that works like a tablet. Every product you run gets saved as a named file — "juice bottle date," "wire batch code," whatever makes sense to you. Switching between products takes one tap. Every setting comes back exactly as you left it.

Ink that takes care of itself. The S4 uses a gear pump instead of the diaphragm pumps found in cheaper machines, which means more stable ink pressure over long runs. It checks the ink viscosity automatically and adds solvent when needed — not on a fixed timer, but only when the actual reading says it's time. Ink level, solvent level, pump speed, and temperature all show on the main screen so nothing sneaks up on you.

Shutdown that doesn't eat your break. Stop for the day? Tap the cleaning shutdown button and the machine purges its own ink circuit. Stop for a few weeks? There's a long-stop mode for that too. You still need to wipe the nozzle and electrodes with solvent by hand, but the machine handles everything else.

Quick specs: Prints 1 to 5 lines, 1.8 to 15 mm character height. Works on metal, plastic, glass, paper, and cable. 25 kg, fits under a conveyor. Runs on 85 to 265 volts, draws 50 watts.
