TTO Ribbon Wrinkling Issue

Problem Description

Wrinkles appear on the TTO thermal transfer ribbon during printing. The printed content is blurry, which affects coding quality of production date and batch number.

1. Unbalanced ribbon tension and incorrect installation.
2. Excessive printing temperature or uneven print head pressure.
3. Worn roller and unsynchronized line speed.
4. Mismatched ribbon and packaging film material.

1. Reinstall the TTO ribbon and adjust tension smoothly.
2. Reduce printing temperature properly and balance print pressure.
3. Clean print head and roller, calibrate running speed.
4. Replace with high-quality TTO compatible ribbon.
